Topography of Bilska area in the Northern Ukraine and its connection with endogenic processes

Abstract

After the results of geological and geophysical studies of Bilska area, its ancient and modern block structures have been determined. Existing uprises and depressions of territory relief witness close connection between endogenic and exogenic processes within area limits. Favorable interior energetics stipulated formation of hydrocarbons deposits not only in Paleozoic, but also in Mesozoic sediments. It is possible that our ancient ancestry felt the energy of the area and built the biggest in Europe for that time (VIII-IX centuries B.C.) settlement secured by fortifications.
